NOTES: Neptune's ring system is similar to Uranus' in that it is extremely faint - the rings themselves are darker than charcoal, and they are also extremely thin! As such, there is absolutely no way they will be visible in a rendering unless they are greatly enhanced (or you can figure out a way to make dust between the rings visible by back-lighting, which I can't!). If you must render them, I suggest using discs with the following properties - note that the outermost ring is supposed to have a 'clumpy' appearance, but I haven't been able to factor this into the approximations below:

    N3R ring (innermost): Inner radius 41,900 km; Outer radius 41,915 km.
    pigment {color Grey filter 0.6} finish {ambient 20.0}
    N2R ring: Inner radius 53,200 km; Outer radius 53,215 km.
    pigment {color Grey filter 0.6} finish {ambient 20.0}
    N4R ring: Inner radius 53,215 km; Outer radius 59,000 km.
    pigment {color Grey filter 0.9} finish {ambient 1.0}
    N1R (Clumpy) ring (outermost): Inner radius 62,930 km; Outer radius 62,980 km.
    pigment {color Grey filter 0.6} finish {ambient 20.0}
